My earliest recollection of this old Bob Dylan song was hearing a version by 'The Band' crackling away on my parents vinyl collection in the mid 1970's. However, it was a live rendition by Nina Simone where I took most inspiration for my version here. I find the underlying sense of calm and acceptance amidst the gospel tones of the lyrics quite reassuring in this particular time of trial.
